The Systems Engineering Organization is looking for aSystems Engineer 6 ) to join their team of innovative and diverse engineers. The position is located at our facility in Melbourne, FL.
Responsibilities include: technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analysis performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Responsible for the analysis and modeling of Radar mode performance in support of performance predictions, system integration and verification testing of the radar. This position will require modeling of radar performance characteristics to
determine installed performance under a variety of mission scenarios, developing/verifying methods of radar calibration, and developing/implementing solutions in response to customer critical Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) needs. Requires expertise in radar systems, both hardware and software, hard-real-time software, navigation, RF physics and radar calibration. Requires experience in FORTRAN, VMS, ground and flight test. This position will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
·Bachelor’s Degree in a (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 20 years of Systems engineering experience experience OR Master’s Degree in (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and 18 years of Systems engineering experience experience or a PhD in a (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 15 years of Systems engineering experience
·20 years of experience working with radar systems, both hardware and software, hard-real-time software, navigation, RF physics, radar calibration and the ISR (Intelligence, Recon
·20 years of experience with FORTRAN, VMS, ground and flight test
·Must have ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
·Position prefers a candidate with an active or current U.S. Government security clearance
