Candidate should be proficient in classical static strength hand analysis, Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis, and finite element modeling and analysis. Should be able to develop and document detailed structural analyses in support of drawing release or aircraft repairs including but not limited to free body diagrams, internal or external loading, shear and moment diagrams, and calculation of internal stresses. Analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB), Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) and fleet management activities. Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs), large transport aircraft structural design criteria, and nonstandard repair and equivalent strength analysis background is a plus. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, mentor less experienced personnel, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 14 years experience in structural analysis or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 12 years experience in structural analysis.
Ability to obtain/maintain DoD secret clearance is required.
Master's degree in Engineering (ME/AE/CE) with minimum of 12 years of experience in structural analysis.
Familiarity with B707 airframe including Boeing drawings and Boeing analysis techniques.
Experience with MRB related activities.
Experience working on an ASIP managed platform.
Experience with crack growth software-AFGROW.
Familiarity with CADAM, CCD, FEMAP/NX Nastran.
Highly qualified candidates will be considered for next level position.
Experience with the development of dispositions for Airframe discrepancies as appropriate for depot maintenance aircraft and the forward fleet is desired.
Active DoD secret clearance or above.
