Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer tojoin our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida .
Flight Test Engineer is responsible for supporting planning and coordinating all flight test requirements on the E-2D program.
Should be able to function as a key technical subject matter expert of the flight test team and will interface directly with the Integrated Test Team and customer to coordinate test requirements, test planning, and reporting of test results.
Developing and maintaining flight-test support materials and mission flight-test profiles.
The candidate should be comfortable with making real-time decisions in a high-risk fast-paced flight test environment.
Able to collaborate in a team environment and prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of test and/or integration engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM discipline from an accredited university and 7+ years of test and or integration engineering experience OR PhD Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years of test and or integration engineering experience
Must have an active DoD Interim Secret level security clearance or higher AND ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance AND PAR
Experience in telemetry room test conductor and/or data monitor of flying and handling qualities, performance, loads, dynamics, and fuel system flight and ground testing.
3 years of recent Flight Test Engineer experience.
Full understanding of all aspects of flight testing to include requirements definition, instrumentation, data processing, test planning, test conduct and test reporting.
