Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at our Manned Aircraft Design COE in Melbourne, FL,
The selected Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer will have experience with Information Assurance or Cybersecurity implementations based on DoD, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI), or DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, policies and guidelines.
Prepare technical documents, support ongoing authorization inputs, develop procedures, processes, policies, and work in a fast changing dynamic environment.
Requirements development and analysis and supporting trade studies.
Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) and provide input, and interface in customer meetings, or provide status input to higher-level management.
Apply systems engineering methodologies and techniques as needed.
Responsible for Information Assurance/Cybersecurity Engineering duties as assigned.
Interface with other cyber functional areas, internal company management and executiveswith a focus on effective program execution and mission assurance.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels.
Associate Degree and 11 years of related experience or a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and9 years of STEM related engineering experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of experience, or 4 years with a PhD.
Current DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree Cyber Security, Information Technology / Engineering.
Experience with Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-53).
Experience with compliance verification of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Service security alerts and bulletins, DISA/DoD standards, SCAP tools, ACAS, Firewalls, and intrusion detection.
Knowledge in Multi-level Security/Cross Domain systems and operations with special requirements such as Program Protection, Anti-Tamper, Red/Black Separation.
Experience with NSA Type-1 certification process.
Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team requiring little to no supervision.
Vulnerability assessment experience with working knowledge of Linux, Windows, network security, web security, application security, security assessments & testing, industry and DoD security best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
