Northrop Grumman Principal / Sr. Principal Program Cost, Schedule, & Control Analyst in Melbourne, Florida

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking either a Principal or Sr. Principal Program Cost, Schedule and Control Analyst to assist with all business activities associated with a restricted program. This position reports to the Program's Business Manager and partners with the applicable Program Management team to establish strategy, prioritize requirements, and achieve financial goals while ensuring the integrity of business processes. This position requires a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance and will be located in Melbourne, Florida .

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares in-depth budgets and schedules for medium sized programs and performs analyses to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines

  • Performs financial analyses and prepares variance explanations, estimates to complete (EACs), and monthly corporate and customer reports related to cost/schedule performance, staffing, and sales outlook

  • Prepares Earned Value Management System (EVMS) baselines, maintains artifacts, analyzes monthly performance, updates Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) / Cobra system, and prepares monthly Integrated Program Management reports (IPMRs)

  • Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks

  • Prepares and evaluates Rough Order of Magnitude Estimates (ROMs) and proposals

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government

  • Interfaces with customer; works under limited supervision

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications (Principal):

  • Must have one of the following:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of finance or related experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of finance or related experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of finance or related experience

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (obtained or refreshed in the past 6 years)

  • Position is contingent upon being able to obtain special program clearance within 12 months of hire

  • Must be able to work on-site in Melbourne, Florida

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of finance or related experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of finance or related experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of finance or related experience

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrated experience with EVMS

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (obtained or refreshed in the past 6 years)

  • Position is contingent upon being able to obtain special program clearance within 12 months of hire

  • Must be able to work on-site in Melbourne, Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of EVMS

  • Experience with SAP, MPM, Cobra, Winsight

  • Experience with MS Project and/or Scheduling

  • DoD Top Secret security clearance (within past 6 years)
