Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management/Senior Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL .

The selected candidate will support the capture operation lead. Position requires oversight and management the capture projects. The candidate will serve as liaison between capture team and IPT leadership, as well as, control project actions, track budgets, manage schedules, prepare status reports, assess risks and issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The selected candidate will also develop processes and tools for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program integration team, project team leads, and program support functions.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as capture focal for integration to the PIT organization for all PIT services needed to support the capture team

  • Be the capture team interface between Integration IPT and other program IPTs and stakeholders

  • Serve as consultant between Program integration and other IPTs across the Program on integration projects

  • Collaborate across all functions within the program to develop advance concepts, techniques and requirements for new application and tools

  • Facilitate and lead process improvement projects, implement improvement initiative, and develop mechanisms to audit improved processes

  • Assist in the identification and documentation of risks, issues, and opportunities

  • Manage Capture Risks and Issues, track mitigation and corrective action plans

  • Develop and deliver presentations to Capture and Program Leadership

  • Provide solutions to complex problems that are consistent with the organization's objectives

  • Identify opportunities for change and champion needed change in the organization

  • Actively track and report capture status on a regular interval basis

  • Develop and analyze performance metrics

Candidate should also have strong organization and communication skills, the ability to champion actions, and complete tasks with little supervision.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 6 years of experience in Project Management, Program Operations, or Program Integration OR Master's Degree and 4 years of related experience in Project Management, Program Operations, or Program Integration Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting presentations for senior leadership

  • Current and active DoD Secret security clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Program Access

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Project Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 10 years of experience in Project Management, Program Operations, or Program Integration OR Master's Degree and 8 years of related experience in Project Management, Program Operations, or Program Integration Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting presentations for senior leadership

  • Current and active DoD Secret security clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification

  • Familiar with proposal capture

  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) related field

Salary Range: $74,600 - $111,800

Salary Range 2: $92,400 - $138,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
