Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
Must have at least 6 years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree; or 4 years experience with Masters Degree. In lieu of formal degree, High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Complete understanding and application of industry Configuration Management principles, concepts, practices, and standards
Must be able to apply Configuration Management Principles in a Data Management Environment
Experience setting up task schedules, tracking progress, and compiling data for status reporting metrics
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to maintain and background investigation within the past 5 years
Ability to obtain special program access within 365 days from submission
Must be available and able to work first or second shift
Experience as a USAF air vehicle maintainer or collaborator (ie. plans and scheduling)
Ability to understand system description documents
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience using with 3D CAD modeling programs to read and interpret engineering data
Experience with writing/publishing in .xml
Experience with EAGLE/EAGLE Publishing System
Understanding of S1000D International Specification for Technical Publications
Experience with Oracle database administration
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles
