Northrop Grumman Manager, Programs 2 in Melbourne, Florida
We are currently hiring a Program Manager (level 2) to support the international program management on Direct Commercial Sales contracts to Japan. This role will require 50% international travel to Japan.
This position is based in Melbourne, Florida.
This role will manage all phases of the program from inception to completion.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
5+ years' of Leadership experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years' of Leadership experience with a Master's degree
Minimum of 2 years' experience working International programs Management on Direct Commercial Sales contracts to Japan.
Must have 2+ years' experience in basic leadership, in addition to specialized knowledge and proven experience in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and US Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
2+ years' experience of supporting functions associated with International Programs, including: proposals, contracting, pricing, export controls, logistics and shipping/receiving USML and commercial items to international customers.
Must be able to effectively lead and manage an international team of professionals.
Travel to Japan is required for this role, at least twice a year for periods of 1-2 weeks.
Active DOD Secret Clearance, or equivalent, is required.
MBA or MS in Systems Engineering
Advanced knowledge and experience with the ALMDS product, Naval Helicopter Aviation and US Navy Airborne Mine Countermeasures in general (Tactics, Equipment, Stakeholders).
Substantial familiarity working with US Navy program/support personnel and with multiple ALMDS components commercial suppliers.
