Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Configuration Analyst 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida .

This position is responsible for the planning and coordinating preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with years' experience in Information Assurance/Information Technology OR Masters degree and 1 years' experience in Information Assurance/Information Technology

  • Experience with configuration, data management, document control, data analysis or program management.

  • Experience with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) tools, or CM tools, or Document Libraries/Repositories (example: Windchill, Teamcenter, CMstst, CMPRO, SharePoint, or similar).

  • Candidates must possess a Secret clearance to start and the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline, and 1 year of experience in configuration management, as an analyst, preforming hardware configuration and change management within an aviation (or aerospace) environment

  • Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61B or military hardware

  • Experience with release of Build To Packages (BTP)

  • Teamcenter Unified experience

  • Active DOD Secret clearance
