Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Avionics Systems Engineer4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
Work with a team of engineers to help assess and define hardware/aircraft installation configurations within the power, weight and volume constraints of various aircraft configurations
Versed in the latest state-of-the art technologies in avionics including power amplifiers, LNAs, receivers and digital synthesis. Must be able to perform trade space analysis within the guidelines of the NGC system engineering process
Project and estimate aircraft size, weight and power (SWaP) requirements for a given set of alternative aperture configurations
Develop 5 and 10 years technology roadmaps of key avionics system components
Perform Cost Account Management (CAM) and provided direct input to Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and9 years of electronics engineering experience OR
Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and7 years of electronics engineering experience OR
PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 4 years of electronics engineering experience
Demonstrated experience in Antenna, RF Equipment, Digital Design and Communications Systems
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Interim Secret level security clearance prior to start
Active DoD Secret level security clearance
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering
Demonstrated experience working in a DoD environment
Demonstrated experience working on military aircraft
Previous experience working on the Navy E-2 aircraft
Previous CAM/EVMS experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
