Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Air Data Systems - Integration Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL .
Flight critical system design for aircraft control; architecture design with optimized redundancy levels; trade studies; specification of hardware elements and technical support to procurement; vehicle management software specification and oversight; fault management design; lab testing of flight hardware & software; on-aircraft testing; support to vehicle flight testing; and anomaly resolution.
We seek candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and the ability to organize work, manage time, plan, and prioritize.
Primary responsibilities include:
Air data system hardware integration with flight controls system.
Work across IPTs to coordinate test case development, integration of Air Data System in a lab environment, collecting and analyzing data.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years experience in electrical design of aircraft vehicle management systemsOR Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with experience in aircraft vehicle management systems
Experience in aerodynamics, air data, and flight controls integration.
Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) with a refresh within the last 6 years is required to start
Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Experience in Air Data System Design and VMS integration
Experience with piloted fixed wing aircraft
Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.
