Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida .
• Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
• Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining physical files
• Screening calls, troubleshooting, provide solutions and transferring if necessary
• Arranging meetings and conferences: reserving conference rooms, managing conflicting outlook calendars, creating/managing Outlook invites, coordinating meal plans if necessary
• Collecting, organizing, and distributing mail for support team
• Reviewing drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical and spelling usage
• Proactively answering questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures
• Purchasing necessary supplies and maintaining inventory within allotted budget
• Gathering, compiling and reporting on information relevant to supervisor’s assignment in a timely and accurate manner
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience working in a customer support or administrative assistant role
• Basic proficiency with MS Office tools Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word (ability to open and operate)
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period as determined by the company to meet business needs
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs. daily (restocking printer paper for team)
• Strong ability to multitask with competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with travel agencies to coordinate itineraries for domestic and international travel
• Concur Software experience (Travel/Expense Software Program)
• Experience in planning, coordinating and overseeing catering for corporate meetings
• Strong ability to multi-task with competing priorities in a positive manner
Salary Range: $39,500 - $65,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
