Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support the Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with our growing team of diverse professionals in McLean, Virginia .
Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization
Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records
May prepare bid packages
Must have one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, logistics, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of procurement experience
Master's degree in business, finance, logistics, or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of procurement experience
Experience on best practices from both Commercial, and Defense industries
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
Must be able to work on-site in McLean, Virginia
- Experience in Procurement, Supply chain, including Electrical category management, strategic sourcing, and/or vendor management
