Northrop Grumman Financial/Cost Control Analyst - Principal/Senior Principal in McLean, Virginia
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking an experienced Project Control Analyst to lead Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting on the AIMM program and future business requiring internal EVM reporting. This is a fast paced high energy environment that requires a self-motivated employee with prior EVMS expertise to join the team. The position may be located the following Northern Virginia Sites: McLean, Falls Church, Chantilly, Herndon, Fairfax. Part time Teleworking may also be consider at the hiring manager's discretion.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepare IPMR, CPR Formats 1 through 5
Maintain Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) EVM Software
Setup and maintain project structure in the ERP System
Prepare budgets for contract work
Financial reporting to include creating AOP and IF financial forecasts, cash flow, and invoiced/unbilled analysis
Invoice preparation, review, and reconciliation
Perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
Responsible for ensuring adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
Responsible for change management
Interface with program and functional management to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements
Prepare and assist in briefing internal and external PMRs
Create and provide the following to program management teams:
Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Dictionary
Control Account Plans
Performance Management Baseline (PMB)
Format 5 variance analyses
Risk and opportunities assessment
Estimates-to-Complete (ETC) & Estimates-at-Completion (EAC).
Be fully versed in the operation of all EVMS processes/procedures and adhere to Northrop Grumman EVM System Description

Basic Qualifications for a Principal:
- Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related business experience or a Masters degree with 3 years of related business experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal:
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related business experience or a Masters degree with 8 years of related business experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:
Previous experience doing cost analysis and preparing financial reports
Prior experience setting up cost control system, and monitoring / controlling costs and schedules.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite specifically Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated knowledge of EVMS and Government CDRL reporting.
Basic understanding of some or all of the following systems or software: Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) (or similar project management software), wInsight, SAP, Business Warehouse (BW),
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues and for complex contract and make recommendations to management
Prior experience in a Program Control Environment.
