Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Business Process Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in McLean, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA's customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems.

  • Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages.

  • Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components, and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.

  • Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional areas ability to support/meet organizational goals.

  • Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization. Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks.

  • Supports all Agile teams to ensure effective end-to-end capability threads are being implemented

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least eight (8) years' experience.

  • Strong understanding of business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas to audiences with varied technical backgrounds.

  • Experience crafting and coordinating official correspondence.

  • Excellent administrative/organizational abilities.

  • Must be a US citizen and have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance. Interim clearance acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience researching new technology for inclusion/use on customer programs

  • Prior work experience in a fast-paced, variable environment.

  • Experience using business process modeling tools such as Rational Systems Architect, Enterprise Architect, Viso, etc.

  • Experience implementing DevSecOps for large program using Agile, preferably SAFe, development methodology

  • Scaled Agile Framework experience; working as a part of a Scrum Team
