Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Electromechanical Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA.
The selected candidate will support test equipment and operational ground equipment development. The position will require selected candidate to create, modify and maintain drawings of PCB's which includes, but not limited to PCB schematics and PCB fabrication drawings. The selected candidate will be responsible for the electronic routing and layout of hardware, design updates and drawing documentation.
Leadingelectronic designs, routing, andpackaging tasks for PCB's
Understandelectrical requirements and translate those into mechanical designs.
Ensureconsistency and quality of hardware designs
Hardwaredesign and drawing creation using Expedition
Workwith data management systems such asEnovia and Mentor Graphics
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must also be able to collaborate closely with electrical and mechanical engineers.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of design/electrical engineering experience; OR STEM Master's degree and 7+ years of design/electrical engineering experience; ORSTEM PhD. degree and 4+ years ofdesign/electrical engineering experience
Experience in electro-mechanical design/PCB products
Minimum 5 years working with a PCB Layout tool
Experience with PCB layout tool such as Expedition PCB from Mentor graphics
Experience with 2D CAD tool such as AutoCAD
Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
