Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for aPrincipal Logistics Management Analyst to joinour team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will be required to perform a wide range of functions within the Customer Support and Logistics (CS&L) organization, working closely with Metrology Services,Customer Liaisons, Inventory/Utilization Control and Acquisition/Support Services in themanagement and oversight of inventory reports, utilization, location changes, calibration requests and Test Equipment Justification (TEJ) submissions.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes technical data and reports to determine Measurement and Test equipment (M&TE) provisioning requirementsReports to the CS&L

  • Section manager, ensuring facilitation and processing of Test Equipment

  • Justifications (TEJ); assessing and categorizing surplus stock, managing stock requirements and follow-up with functional areas of responsibility for usage and exchange data

  • Perform continuous improvement of standard practices and processes

  • May originate support plans for potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel

  • Supports the management and controls the asset position of customer inventories, including management of M&TE requirements forecasting and initiation of Test Equipment Justification/Requests (TEJ)

  • Support customers with the management of acquisition forecasting, calibration and metrology servicing budgets

  • Serving as the primary POC for planning/controlling inventory of finished goods to meet sales, return and distribution demand

  • Managing the reutilization, redeployment, and fulfillment of general purpose test equipment requests throughout the Engineering Asset Management (EAM) department's Equipment Rental Pools

  • Researching, analyzing, and providing recommended inventory/equipment outcomes to EAM leadership, Customer Liaisons, and Area Coordinators

  • Analyzes technical data and reports to determine Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) provisioning requirements

  • Serving as the primary POC for planning/controlling inventory of finished goods to meet sales, return and distribution demand

  • Managing the reutilization, redeployment, and fulfillment of general purpose test equipment requests throughout the Engineering Asset Management (EAM) department's Equipment Rental Pools

  • Researching, analyzing, and providing recommended inventory/equipment outcomes to EAM leadership, Customer Liaisons, and Area Coordinators

  • Coordinates with other functional support areas for researching and monitoring stock usage based on demand, applicability (where-used scenarios); dormant stores screening, establishing and policing of Equipment Pool inventories, and monthly expensed rate reduction

  • Analyzes technical data and reports to determine Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) provisioning requirements

  • Reports to the CS&L Section manager, ensuring facilitation and processing of Test Equipment Justifications (TEJ); assessing and categorizing surplus stock, managing stock requirements and follow-up with functional areas of responsibility for usage and exchange data

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 6 yearsof experience in a aerospace industry logistics, inventory and/or supply chain/supportOR Master's Degree and 4 years of experience

  • Abilityto work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, weekends and support on call status as required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required

  • Government Property Administration experience

  • Functional knowledge of industry standards for property management procedures

  • Familiarity with M&TE Metrology/Calibration

  • Military logistics, or Aerospace industry logistics, inventory and/or supply chain/support experience

  • Military Occupational Specialty (MOS): USMC-0431 or 0411 series; USAAF-2S0 or 6C0 series; USA-92 or 91 Series).

  • Active Secret Clearance
