Northrop Grumman is looking for anAntenna and Electronics (A&E) Advanced Payload Integration Manager for their Manhattan Beach facility. This individual will be responsible for leading the technology maturation and product development required for insertion into a next-generation payload, supporting the AMP Primary mission.

Job duties will include:

-Integration and collaboration across AMP program management, the A&E IPT, NGAS functions, and customer stakeholders to guide the payload development activities, spanning from technology maturation, qualification, conceptual design, and detailed design, to manufacturing and test

  • Ability to drive execution, develop talent and build strong teams, lead change, and solve complex technical problems

The A&E Advanced Payload Integration Manager will report directly to the A&E IPT Director & Deputy and responsible for helping the IPT with the following:

  • Establish and execute the A&E schedule and technical baselines to design, build, integrate and deliver flight hardware

  • Identify, develop, and manage suppliers

  • Manage key design and architecture trades, balancing cost, schedule and technical risks

  • Identify and realize opportunities to reduce cost, improve processes

  • Meet all security, organizational conflict of interest, export control, protection of proprietary information, and risk and opportunity management processes

  • Closely coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders (AMP Program Office, peer AMP IPT Managers, and AMP support organizations (Business Development, Security, IT Solutions, Legal, other Space Systems Division business area and NGAS functional area counterparts, Engineering/etc., senior level customers, technical advisors, and subject matter experts, suppliers’ executives, program managers and counterparts

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline

  • Minimum of 7 years of technical breath in antennas, RF electronics, and microelectronics

  • Active SCI clearance

  • Program technical leadership experience

  • Experience leading atechnical team toward successful product delivery

  • Experience in program execution anddemonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones

  • Hands-on knowledge of programmatic/CAM processes, project planning and scheduling, cost control, change control, EVMS, staffing, coordination and oversight of technical work effort

-Knowledge of end-to-end program lifecycle

  • Hands-on experience in managing one phase of a technical program through delivery of a product

  • Proven partnership/collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to partner with cross IPTs/cross disciplines within a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization

  • Experience in technology development and maturation, in various Technology Readiness Level (TRL) phases
