Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Materials Processes Tech to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential Functions:

Performs Electrical Materials & Processes Laboratories tasks. Operates environmental chambers (Temperature Cycling, Temperature Shock, Humidity, etc.) including electrical set-up and data collection. Perform soldering and related tasks (solderability, assembly, etc.). Perform materials testing such as Viscosity, Hardness, Mechanical tests. Work in a lab environmental with limited supervision while supporting a wide variety of customers.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all level

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and6 years experience in a technician role

  • Ability to follow complex test plans

  • Environmental Chamber operation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with environmental chamber maintenance

  • Experience working at a Space Level test lab.

  • Experience with material characterization and test

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills

  • Good verbal & written communication skills
