Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Semiconductor Process Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
The selected candidate will be responsible for sustaining and optimizing processes in a high yielding III-V compound semiconductor fabrication facility. Also, the candidate will be responsible for a set of process equipment and will participate in integrated process teams to develop new processes and technologies
Maintain (sustain) existing processes and tools. Includes trouble shooting issues & monitoring processes using statistical process control (SPC) methods.
Optimizing existing processes and tools
Documentation of process and tool procedures
Work in across function teams to trouble-shoot process issues (Root cause investigations) through controlled experiments
Will have significant interactions with other process engineers, production supervisors, process technicians, and technology development (product) engineers

Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or Physics from an accredited university and 5 years of Process Engineering experience OR
Masterâ€™s Degree and 3 years of Process Engineering experience OR
PhD Degree and 0 years of Process Engineering experience
General background in semiconductor process technology (class study or lab experience)
General background in device technology (Si, III-V compound semiconductor, MEMS)
Basic knowledge of design of experiments (DOE) methodology
Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
