SSSD has an opening for an Electronic Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, California.
The selected candidate will primarily support test and checkout of flight level electronic hardware, in a production environment. The candidate's initial assignment will be support of various types of electronic hardware developed for the EPS-R program.
Essential Functions:
Support RF, Power, and Digital, testing of flight Hardware
Support test activities on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift
Perform test and checkout of assembly, circuit card, slice, and unit level hardware
May require test of experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment
Must be able to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal direction, layouts, or defined test plans
Should be capable of conducting tests and collecting data, using standard test equipment; such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DVMs, and signal generators
Should be able to mentor junior level technicians, and function as a Shift Lead Technician if required.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, test engineers, and various technicians.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Training in Electronic Technology
15 years of related electronic test experience in a process driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent Military Training
15+ years of electronic test experience, in a space flight or complex military hardware environment
The ability to obtain DoD, and SCI clearance
Salary Range: $73,200 - $122,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
