Northrop Grumman Budget Analyst 4 in Manhattan Beach, California

Description:

Northrop Grumman is looking for a budget Analyst-4 position in the Electronics and Payload (E&P) Directorate / Microelectronics & Electronics Manufacturing Center located in Building D1 on the Manhattan Beach campus.

The position reports to the E&P business manager. Will manage the organization's Microelectronics chip inventory and develop and maintain Standard Costing. Successful candidate will partner closely with manufacturing departments to understand the process and influences to inventory, as well as, the production coordinators to understand volume and yield numbers. Position will support costing proposal process and work closely with business team and Center management team. Will serve as advisor to senior management and internal customers, interfacing with various levels of management. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated; have strong written and oral communication skills; and organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Financial data tracking and analysis for monthly reporting and reviews

  • Chart and metric development

  • Variety of ad hoc tasks/exercises.

  • Working closely with and ensuring crisp/timely communication with all vested parties (Center Directors, Department Managers, Section Managers, employees and business management).

  • Represent the interests of business management in all aspects related to internal / external audits of inventory system.

  • Interface with leadership and adjunct organizations such as accounting; material movement; pricing/cost estimating and program functional leads is pertinent during such events.

  • Present technical approaches and findings to leadership and internal customers.

  • Improve upon current processes and drive best practices and solutions in support of company objectives.

  • In a lead capacity, mentor and train junior staff.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree in Business Administration with 10 years ofbusiness managementexperience or MBA and 8 years of business management experience

  • Understanding of how to adjudicate compliance issues

  • Understanding of resource management / material movement (MRP)

  • Knowledge of SAP/Business Warehouse (BW)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Financial reporting and accounting principles experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership & influential skills

  • Strong written, analytical and oral communication skills

  • Audit experience

  • Understanding of indirect, NCTA, and capital budgeting process

  • Change management experience

  • Highly collaboration, team player with experience working team projects
