Northrop Grumman is seeking entry level Systems Engineers. These positions will be with our Technology Services sector located in Manhattan Beach, CA. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground Subsystems Support Contract (GSSC) Minuteman Operational Targeting Program (MOTP).

As a Professional Development Program (PDP) candidate, you will participate in a three year rotational training program to develop competencies in a variety of specializations. You’ll participate in assignments that will leverage your degree and academic experience.

The PDP rotations offer the opportunity to experience a variety of job assignments before making a commitment to a particular position. The assignments will provide valuable experiences that will broaden the participant’s knowledge of the business and help guide each individual in obtaining his/her career goals. The program will support the individual’s growth through training, skill development, and networking opportunities. This program gives its participants the ability to choose their assignments from a variety of departments based on their skills, areas of interest, and availability.

The successful candidate will:

·Support software development and testing for the Air Force ICBMs

·Perform requirements analysis, design/develop code, generate test documents and prepare test reports

·Verify requirements through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis

·Support all phases of the software lifecycle

Basic Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or Physics

·Knowledge of programming in C, C , C#, Matlab and/or FORTRAN

·U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Overall GPA of 3.25 or higher

  • Possess an active DoD Interim Secret Clearance or above

·Work experience in ICBM flight dynamics, targeting, orbital mechanics and reentry dynamics

·Working knowledge of 6-Degrees of Freedom Trajectory Simulations

·Good interpersonal skills working in a team environment and with customer
