Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Product Assurance Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Madison, Alabama supporting the Huntsville Manufacturing Center.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance organization. You will be responsible for the management of the Product Assurance team of quality engineers, supplier quality engineers, quality analysts, and inspectors. Define and monitor mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assess program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain open, honest, and direct communication of product assurance information to the BU, OUs and program management, through an independent reporting chain, to the Division MA Director.
Leads daily Product Assurance operations and oversees the scheduling, utilization, and performance of quality assurance team.
Promotes the professional development of the Mission Assurance workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
Ensures the development and implantation of quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
Drive affordability through continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Advocates and implements continuous improvement opportunities, providing leadership and guidance in identifying and executing tasks to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of program performance.
Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
Assure the establishment of a meaningful metrics and measurement baseline that will assist the program in meeting its critical objectives. Provide quantitative and predictive measures and analysis expertise to inform PM on key decisions that would benefit from quantitative or predictive analysis.
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelorâ€™s degree with6+ years relevant Mission/Product Assurance experience.
Experience as a proven leader of people.
Six(6)+ years of industry experience within quality, auditing, manufacturing, engineering and/or hardware-related field.
Experience in a manufacturing, integration & test environment for quality engineering
Experience in product assurance principles and practices including: quality engineering, manufacturing, assembly, integration, functional and environmental testing, receiving inspection, supplier quality systems, workmanship inspections and audits.
Familiar with VoC and effective in interfacing with DCMA and external Customers.
Working knowledge of SAP quality modules.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
Green/Black Belt Certified
ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditor
Experience in coordinating and facilitating third party ISO audits
Lead proposal for hardware/production programs.
