Northrop Grumman Supply Chain Planning Spec 4 in Linthicum, Maryland
Position is supplier facing GSC focused, and has two components. First, the candidate shall have lead responsibilities to coordinate and execute on Key Supplier leadership tasks within larger category team. Candidate shall serve as leadership delegated point of contact for the Mechanical Category Manager in addition to represent the larger team when required. Candidate shall have responsibility to organize activities, status and report on various key supplier
related tasks. This role will likely require travel to support supplier visits and meeting with their ownership/leadership for the benefit of the category and program.
Position shall also include responsibility for tasks pertaining to management of one of the Key Suppliers within the mechanical portfolio.
Specific duties for this role includes:
1.Provide status and discuss emerging issues with program SCPMs. Provide milestone plans.
Socialize performance Score Cards. Discuss trends and RTGs with supplier. Share/discuss with program SCPMs.
Socialize new upcoming programs, forecasts with supplier.
Promote suppliercapital investment based on forecast opportunity
Responsible to facilitate tech data package "Table Top" reviews between NG Eng and supplier
Procurement support-providedrawingrevisions, Data packages etc
7.Serve as Program Liaison to supply base
Facilitate meetings with supplier and the programs, Quarterly Reviews
Facilitate Supplier requests for drawing action (VECRS)
10.Ensure Key supplier accountability (reservation of rights letters, etc. when reqd)
11.Support sourcing direction led by SCEs (Capacity, SMA issues, risk issues)
12.Responsible for generation and upkeep of Supplier Management Plans and risk mitigation issues for key suppliers.
Bachelors Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain operations or Masters Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in supply chain operations.
Must have ability to effectively communicate and have superior organization skills. Must be able to build success oriented teams and collaborate within the Global Supply Chain, GSC and program teams, skills to help support/influence higher level decisions that directly impact GSC success.
Northrop Grumman tools related to function (SAP, ISE, CADSTAR) and Microsoft suite. Should have familiarity with mechanical fabrication methods and hardware product development. Excellent planning skills and acts with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Prior leadership rolls that are relevant to the mechanical supply chain. History with external supply base and the procurement function. Have familiarity with mechanical hardware and fabrication methods.
