Roles & Responsibilities:

Missile Data Link Systems Engineers focus on the implementation of data link system capabilities within multi-function sensor systems, with a focus on applying model-based methods to evaluate system performance. MDL Systems Engineers drive system requirements, including waveform implementation in software/firmware and hardware requirements and impacts to data link performance. Systems engineers also develop models and simulations, primarily in MATLAB and C++, to validate design choices and troubleshoot integration findings. During integration, MDL Systems Engineers work closely with Software Engineering and Systems Integration engineers to complete software/system integration and performance verification. Throughout this process, MDL Systems Engineers must balance their functional and performance requirements with other sensor functionality to enable true multi-function operation.
