Northrop Grumman Parametric Analyst 3/4 in Linthicum, Maryland

This position is responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman MissionSystems Sector Capture and Proposal efforts through the application of parametric cost analysis and estimating techniques.

The successful candidate will utilize their technical capability to assess cost and schedule implications and work to provide cost models and Independent Cost Estimates for a wide range of complex evaluations in support of acquisition decision points and strategies. Work location is in Linthicum, Maryland.

Duties will include:

  • Evolving and maintaining process and procedures; define standards for estimation content and presentation

  • Developing and maintaining WBS catalog and estimation database(s)

  • Researching and refining metrics; develop and validating potential cost estimation relationships (CERs)

  • Maintaining profiles of reference-able past performance programs

  • Teaching and facilitating standard estimation processes and tools

  • Assisting the capture and proposal team in designing a cost estimation solution

  • Providing access and expertise to available tools, metrics, databases, and past performance information useful in the development of BOEs

  • Reviewing and evaluating Breakdown Structures, Cost Structures, and Work Packages during development

  • Monitoring and reporting the status of each estimation effort

  • Providing custom reports and data extracts as agreed upon

Basic Qualifications:

Depending on experience, we will consider offering this position at a higher level. The position as posted requires a Bachelor's Degree (Masters preferred) in either a technical of financial discipline with 5 years of related industry experience.

The successful candidate with 10 or more years of experience would be considered at the higher level. (L4)

  • Must also be well organized, manage several projects simultaneously, set priorities, team within and outside organization, and meet required deadlines.

  • Candidate must understand parametric estimating principles and recognize opportunities for business improvement.

  • Training and working knowledge of SEER and or/Price Systems Parametric Estimating tools is required.

Candidate must also have working knowledge of analogous and parametric estimating techniques, complexity factors and cost estimating relationships (CERs).

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of parametric analysis experience with active secret clearance preferred.
