Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join its team of diverse professionals engaged in supporting dynamic and exciting programs. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Mission System Global Supply Chain, Emerging Capabilities Development organization.
This position will provide leadership to a team of Procurement Specialists managing a diverse portfolio of orders for services, hardware, software, IRAD and new cutting edge work for future product innovations. This individualwill lead a team that is responsible for all phases of procurement; from the initiation of the supplier Request for Quote and proposal phase through negotiations, award, and management of supplier activities.
Responsibilities include managing work volumes, ensuring compliance with Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, supplier's performance to committed schedules, terms and conditions and contractual requirements/specifications. The position works with Supply Chain Planner Managers and Supply Chain Planner Specialists, Program Management, Technical Leads, and other functional team members in support of program performance objectives.
The successful candidate will work as part of the management team and must be able to provide responsible advice and counsel on a wide range of procurement issues, as well as perform "hands on" procurement management, negotations and other tasks as may be required and/or as directed. The individual will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensuring the development of talent to grow in GSC.
BS/BA degree, with minimum of 10 years of supply chain, subcontract, contract or related experience or a Master's degree with minimum of 8 years' experience supply chain, subcontract, contract or related experience.
3+ years of Experience as a team lead and/or management of people.
Proven organizational and leadership skills
Experience in managing supply chain procurements.
Experience with SAP.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
