Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals engaged in supporting dynamic and innovative programs. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Mission System Global Supply Chain, Emerging Capabilities Development Division. This position requires regular interaction with various programs and other functional groups and a demonstrated ability to communicate with various levels of the organization.
The Supply Chain Manager will provide leadership and oversight to a team of Procurement Specialists managing a diverse portfolio of orders for Facilities, Capital, Contract Labor, Calibration Lab, Test Equipment, Consultants, Services and Flight Test services. This individualwill lead a team that is responsible for all phases of procurement effort; from the initiation of the supplier Request for Quote and proposal phase through negotiations, award and management of supplier activities to meet program and infrastructure requirements in a fast paced environment.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing work volumes, ensuring compliance with Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, supplier's performance to committed schedules, terms and conditions and contractual requirements and specifications. The individual will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensuring the development of talent to grow in GSC. The position works with Supply Chain Planner Managers and Supply Chain Planner Specialists, Program Management, Technical Leads, and other functional team members to manage the relationship with suppliers in support of Program performance objectives.
As a manager, the position will have employees reporting directly to them which entails day-to-day direction and oversight of the employees work product to include the preparation, negotiation, and administration of a mixed portfolio of procurements and assures compliance with company and government policies. Individual will work closely with the Supply Chain Subcontracts Manager and Director to meet department strategy and objectives and to manage oversight of the employees work product and individual career development needs.
Bachelor's degree and work experience of a minimum 6+ years in U.S. Government or commercial procurements, contracts, subcontracts or related field
3+ years of experience as a team lead and/or a management of people role
Supply chain experience in Federal, Commercial and/or Department of Defense environments.
Familiarity with procurement, quality and export management policies, multiple contract types, procedures, and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a clearance
Experience in managing U.S. Government supply chain procurements
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation
Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements (FAR/DFARS)
Experience working in SAP or similar business tool
