Northrop Grumman Mgr Supply Chain 1 in Linthicum, Maryland

Specific duties to include but are not limited to:

An opportunity as a Supply Chain Program Manager supporting the Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) Division. This position will provide management support for various Programs. The position requires the individual to lead a team responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of suppliers for the divisions and be responsible for all phases of the procurement effort from the initiation of the supplier strategy and proposal phase through negotiation/negotiation strategy, award and management of supplier activities to meet program objectives. The position will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensure their suppliers perform to the committed schedules, terms, conditions, and contractual requirements/specifications and drawings. As a manager, the position will have direct professional reports; which entails day to day direction and oversight of the employees work product and individual career development needs and interaction/collaboration with Subcontracts Management, various Program Managers, and Program Directors.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with1+ years of leadership experience in a lead role and/or management

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government secret security clearance

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP

  • Demonstrated leadership success and ability to influence direct reports, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in managing supply chain on large electronic production programs; Shop Order execution, providing Material Status to Program Office

  • Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex supplier specifications, drawings, SOW's and supplier issue resolution
