Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals engaged in supporting dynamic, and exciting programs. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Mission System Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Sciences and Technology (ES&T) Division. This position reports to the Supply Chain Subcontracts Manager and has supervisory responsibility for a team of Supply Chain Procurement Specialists.
The Supply Chain Manager will provide leadership and oversight to a team of Procurement Specialists managing a diverse portfolio of orders for services, hardware, software, IRAD and new cutting edge work for future innovations. This individualwill lead a team that is responsible for all phases of procurement effort; from the initiation of the supplier Request for Quote and proposal phase through negotiations, award and management of supplier activities to meet program and infrastructure requirements.
Individual will be responsible for managing work volumes, ensuring compliance with Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, suppliers performance to committed schedules, terms and conditions and contractual requirements/specifications. The individual will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensuring the development of talent to grow in GSC. The position works with Supply Chain Planner Managers and Supply Chain Planner Specialists, Program Management, Technical Leads, and other functional team members to manage the relationship with suppliers in support of Program performance objectives.
As a manager, the position will have employees reporting directly to them; which entails day-to-day direction and oversight of the employees work product to include the preparation, negotiation, and administration of a mixed portfolio of procurements and assures compliance with company and government policies. Individual will work closely with the Supply Chain Subcontracts Manager and Director to meet department strategy and objectives and to manage oversight of the employees work product and individual career development needs.
BS/BA degree, with 5+ years of supply chain experience in Federal, Commercial and/or Department of Defense environments.
1+years of supervisory or team lead experience.
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, legal, operations, logistics, or program management.
Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated leadership success and ability to influence direct reports, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization.
Experience in managing broad range of procurement styles.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP.
Experience in managing supply chain procurements in support of Federal customers.
Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS
Demonstrated experience with developing complex agreements such as long term agreements, NDAs, and overriding Terms and Conditions.
