Northrop Grumman Mgr Business Development 3 in Linthicum, Maryland

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems Division is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team of business development professionals in the Remote Sensing Programs OU. This position is located in either the Linthicum, MD, or Northern Virginia areas ( Fair Lakes, Chantilly, Sterling, Fairfax). Relocation is possible, but not guaranteed.

This Senior Business Development Manager performs and leads tasks essential to the identification, qualification, shape and capture of new business opportunities for the products, capabilities and customers within the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Space ISR Division. The selected candidate is responsible to proactively collaborate within Northrop Grumman Corporation, with special emphasis on collaborating across synergistic operating units. The candidate will provide leadership for all applicable BD processes in the Business Acquisition Process (BAP). This senior manager must effectively communicate at all levels of both internal and customer organizations, including with executive management.

Ideal candidates should have excellent written and oral communications. Candidates should possess a strong ability to establish and develop inter-personal relationships, have a substantial business development background, be strong leaders, and bring some combination of the following: sensor technology (Electro-Optical/Infra-Red, RADAR SIGINT, or Processing); Battle management C2 expertise; program management; technology development; and a history of working closely with organizations such as SMC, AFSPC, AFRL, NRL, DARPA, SDA,Space RCO, or IC customers. Retirees from these organizations are welcomed.

Basic Qualifications:

High Energy, Open Communicator/Collaborator to all levels of the organization, dedicated to the team and business area. Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline, at least 7 years of combined experience with defense/aerospace business and defense/IC operations. Familiarity with USG and US Intel Community organizations (NGA, NSA, NRO) and Prime contractors involved in aerospace and satellite and ground mission procurement business. Proven skills as a respected team leader and with strong communication and collaboration skills; able to communicate effectively with Executive Management. Experience in business marketing/ coordination and submission of responsive proposals with an ability to build and lead teams with a vision for success and capable of delegating responsibilities to the appropriate team members. Intimacy with the various Customer organizations that procure or operate such technologies. TS/SCI clearance required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current TS/SCI with polygraph. Significant Operational, Acquisition, and/or Program Management experience in Space, Airborne and Ground GEOINT or SIGINT systems. Working knowledge of the Military/Intelligence competitive marketplace for GEOINT or SIGINT Prime, Payload, or Mission Processing Development. Experiences and strong existing relationships with DoD and IC organizations. Credentials across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) strategy, opportunity shaping, identification, qualification, capture, bid, and keep sold activities. Military/IC/Aerospace business development experience interacting with Capitol Hill staffs, senior Department of Defense and the IC executives.
