Northrop Grumman Manager, Contract Adminstrator 1 in Linthicum, Maryland

This Contracts Operating Unit (OU) Manager position is to provide support for the growing Transformational Computing and Intelligent Mission Capabilities OU's. This position has full management responsibility for contracts representatives in Linthicum with Operating Units that span multiple geographical regions, and will report to the Business Unit Contracts Manager for Advanced Programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the portfolio from the business development phase through contract closeout, delivering strong customer satisfaction, successful financial performance and risk mitigation. Candidate's ability to build strong customer intimacy and employee engagement is a key priority to assist with growing this important business area.

The Contract Manager will review and approve contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies and therefore a keen attention to detail is essential. Candidate will also be responsible for planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals.

Regular and proactive interface and effective collaboration is required with program, technical and operations organizations in order to provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts, change management discipline and to ensure timeliness of CDRL submissions. The Contract Manager's responsibility includes being able to make decisions in a timely manner, offer guidance and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, supply chain, export and security for seamless contract administration.

The Contracts Manager will provide support and training as needed in all aspects of the contracts discipline. Will utilize an in depth understanding of the DOD regulations and commercial terms and conditions to negotiate all types of USG and commercial contractual instruments and agreements. Will support competitive and sole source RFPs, PIEA's and Teaming Agreements. The Contracts Manager will support contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Will also be an advisor to management on contractual rights and obligations; be able to compile and analyze data; and maintains historical information. Some offsite management skills may be necessary and travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (in Business Administration or related discipline) with 6 years of contract experience

Knowledge of U. S. Government procurement regulations (FAR- Federal Acquisition Regulation / DFAR- Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation)

Possess excellent verbal/written communication and time management/organizational skills.

Active DoD Secret Clearance
