Northrop Grumman Chief Information Office is seeking an Information Systems Project Manager to work in our IT Project Management team supporting a classified program. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD; the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Linthicum, MD campus - this is NOT a remote work opportunity. This an organization of highly skilled and diverse individuals responsible for providing information technology solutions and services across Northrop Grumman, and driving superior business performance through a robust, secure, cost-effective IT infrastructure which enables collaboration and strategic business partnering to foster innovation and technology. The selected candidate will serve as a Project Manager and will provide support to the Program Manager and assist in overseeing the assigned project team to include delegating project tasks as required. The selected candidate will also serve as the customer liaison for project leadership and will manage all scheduling, change management, and risk management responsibilities, in addition to assisting with cost management requirements while also being responsible for any optimization or other remediation work assigned by the Project Management team lead.

Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Manage and track status of projects and metrics, manage schedules and prepare status reports, and ensure project remediation and ongoing compliance goals are met.

  • Create, review, and finalize the Statement of Work.

  • Assist the project management leadership team in assessing, documenting, and tracking of all new assigned project requirements.

  • Prepare project execution plans and identify the appropriate technical and business resources required.

  • Adopt a positive attitude about Agile processes, ensure tasks are flowing from one phase to the next, and facilitate the basics of the process (i.e. transparency, ensure project information is current, and ensure impediments are being eliminated).

  • Develop customer relationships and cultivate customer intimacy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance required on Day 1 of employment; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by customer and/or program requirements; maintaining the required SAP/SAR clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience to include managing budget, scheduling, estimating, etc.

  • Problem solving experience with integrated team including but not exclusive to the program manager, functional managers, and customers.

  • Must have excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have experience in communicating with Senior and Executive levels of leadership.

  • Experience leading multiple project assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing IT related projects.

  • Experience using tools that support agile processes such as JIRA and Confluence.

  • Scaled Agile Framework knowledge; experience working as a part of an Agile Development (Scrum) Team.

Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
