Northrop Grumman Engineer Quality 2/3 in Linthicum, Maryland

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Quality Engineer 2/3 to become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance (MA) organization located at our site in Linthicum, Maryland.

This position will be a member of the team responsible for defining and overseeing Test Equipment program specifications, requirements, and processes to ensure mission success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Defines and monitors Mission Assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of all Test Equipment Programs.

  • Provide program support, assuring quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability for Test Equipment design, manufacture, and certification. Possesses technical knowledge in the area of Test Equipment software development and configuration. General knowledge ofTest Equipment design and operation with experiencein analog, digital, or RF test systems.

  • Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

  • Processes and dispositions Test Program Material Review Board actions.

  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are implemented.

  • Ability to interface with customers and program teams.

This requisition may be filled at a Level 2 or 3

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

  • Two (2)+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing production environment

  • Knowledge of QA System specifications/standards

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Project)

  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship required.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

  • Five (5)+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing production environment

  • Knowledge of QA System specifications/standards

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Project)

  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications for Level 2 and 3:

  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline.

  • Test equipment design or test engineering operations experience.

  • Training in Six Sigma and CI methodologies

  • Experience working in a DOD Environment

  • Active Secret Clearance
