Northrop Grumman Engineer Logistics in Linthicum, Maryland

Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts. Lead the repair process for both In-House and Vendor Items to include:

  • Report status on repairs in process

  • Utilize multiple databases as source of data entry and queries

  • Report on Repair Turn-Around Time (RTAT) and other repair related metrics

  • Lead weekly Customer telecoms on repairs status

  • Coordinate in-house repairs with LCSO, SMEs, Cell Managers, and Production OPMs

  • Communicate with Vendor POCs for completion of Vendor repairs

Candidate will also be required to respond to queries from the Customer and NGMS PM regarding Repairs and Spares. Generate repair cost estimates for Customer review/approval. Understand Part Drawings to help Customer with component inquires.Work with SCM to procure sustainment components requested by Customer.Assist in Diminishing Material Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) related inquiries.Present repair status during various Program reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (STEM)in a Science/Engineering/Logistics area of study, 2-5+ years of experience

  • Understanding of supply chain management

  • Microsoft office Excel and Word proficient

  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering analysis, and critical decision making

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good presentation skills

  • Analytical thinking and application

  • USMC experience a plus

  • Exposure to SAP a plus

  • Experience in supply chain management

  • Awareness of Defense Acquisition University 12 elements of Integrated Product Support

  • US Citizen with active Secret clearance
