The Emerging Capabilities Development Business Unit of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Director of Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) Wafer Fabrication position located at our Linthicum, MD facility. This position will be responsible for technical and management activities associated with foundry wafer fab operations and engineering for both production and development. The position of Director of ATL Wafer Fabrication, reports directly to the Director of ATL, and will be a full-time onsite position.
Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide and other semiconductor types) and providing leading edge technology development in Superconducting Electronics, Ultra-Wideband Electronics and other Beyond-Moore's-Law technologies. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based RF Systems, avionic RF Systems, and space RF Systems.

Job Summary:
The position of Director of ATL Wafer Fabrication will be a Manager of Managers and will be responsible for resources and execution related to all aspects of Wafer Fabrication for the ATL organization including Process Engineering, Process Integration Engineering, Equipment Engineering and Wafer Fab Operations. The ATL Wafer Fabrication organization is currently 500+ employees and expected to continue to grow. This role will also have direct technical reports. In addition, the Director of ATL Wafer Fabrication will be responsible for staffing, employee tasking, project management, budget oversight, and engineering interface activities. Functional duties include hiring, onboarding, personnel performance assessments, time charging approval, and employee development.
This is a leadership position with executive interactions internally and externally, and the successful candidate must display consistent impeccable judgment and embody Northrop Grumman Value and Leadership behaviors. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business and a minimum of 10 years related leadership experience in semiconductor-related operations, manufacturing, engineering, and/or program management
Experience managing organizations over 100 employees with 24/7 manufacturing environment(s)
Proven skills/experience building high performing cross-functional teams and culture to achieve operational excellence and meet the expectations of internal customers/stakeholders
Ability to prioritize and multi-task when there are competing stakeholders' demands on you and the team
Ability to formulate, communicate and execute complex project plans and initiatives
Strong business and financial acumen

Experience with both silicon and compound semiconductor technologies
Led a wafer fab start-up, capital ramp or other significant infrastructure effort
Advanced knowledge of Atlassian Tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Experience with Industry 4.0 enablement of an organization
Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI clearance
Salary Range: $177,400 - $266,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
