Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Business Management Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Linthicum Heights, MD.

The qualified applicant will lead all financial aspects of the programs for the Advanced Intelligence Systems (AIS) Operating Unit, within the Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) Division.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead financial planning activities including monthly IF forecast submittals, variance analysis and preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

  • Provide expertise & ensure appropriate training in the areas of Earned Value, EAC development, baseline schedules, and cost & schedule risk management.

  • Prepare financial data and provide presentations to internal and external customers, including executive management

  • Support the development of employees by establishing development plans, facilitating rotational assignments, developing objectives for performance management, and supporting Engagement

  • Facilitate on-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams

  • Provide review of contractual documents, including Technical Task Orders

  • Provide support for pricing and proposal activities, and assist with contract negotiations

  • Ensure adequacy of processes and adherence to company policy and Principles and Operating Practices (PrOP)

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 5 years of industry related

  • Experience in finance, accounting or program control

  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR

  • Prior experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development

  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and SAP

  • Active Secret or higher DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting or program control

  • MBA and/or CPA certification

  • Previous experience managing/supervising a program, project, or personnel.

  • Experience with COGNOS forecasting system
