The Emerging Capabilities Division (ECD) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented and motivated Photolithography Sustaining Engineer.

The Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly.

The potential candidate should possess some knowledge of lithography principles and practices. Should possess some entry level experience with I-Line & DUV steppers, contact lithography, and track operations. The Engineer should also be familiar with a wide variety of metrology tools including CDSEM and IVS. The selected candidate should be hands on and demonstrate an ability to communicate well with others.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  1. A ll aspects of sustaining lithography processes including process qualifications, technician training and certification, and process safety

  2. I nterfacing with other unit process engineers and product integration engineers

  3. Writing and maintaining process documentation

  4. S upporting statistical process control (SPC) and continuous improvement efforts

This position will work 3rd shift hours (11pm - 8am)

This requisition may be filled at either Associate Photolithography Sustaining Engineer or Photolithography Sustaining Engineer.

Basic Qualifications Associate Photolithography Sustaining Engineer:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics or other related technical discipline with 1 years related experience

• Experience with semiconductor fabrication

• Hands-on knowledge and operation of lithography steppers, contact aligners, tracks, CDSEM, and overlay tools.

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

• Must be able to work 3rd shift

Basic Qualifications Photolithography Sustaining Engineer:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics or other related technical discipline with 2 years related experience or Masters with 0 years experience

• Experience with semiconductor fabrication

• Hands-on knowledge and operation of lithography steppers, contact aligners, tracks, CDSEM, and overlay tools.

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

• Must be able to work 3rd shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with contact aligners and ASML PAS5500 Steppers.

• Experience with coat / develop tracks including SVG 86xx/88xx, SVG 90S, TEL Mark V, and TEL ACT8 tracks.

• Experience with DUV lithography wafer processing

• Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,600

Salary Range 2: $81,000 - $121,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
