Join the Mission Systems Communications team and help drive the company's business objectives by implementing dynamic communications practices, executive and employee communications and engineering communications project management. Contribute to internal and external initiatives; write communications for various mediums; draft announcements, executive talking points, communications plans and articles; develop communications strategies and change management plans.

This is an ideal position for a high-energy, adventurous, analytical, self-motivated professional who is able to meet commitments and work effectively given tight deadlines, multiple tasks and partners, shifting priorities and limited resources. This full-time position is located in Linthicum, MD , and reports to the manager of Strategic Communications. Experience communicating with executives and collaborating with various teams to discover commonalities and achieve unified goals is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing internal and external communications to support strategic development and deployment efforts

  • Driving disciplined communications practices and processes in support of the engineering and technical community

  • Working in partnership with account managers and corporate communications to integrate and align practices and messaging to support strategic company endeavors

  • Creating and identifying opportunities to collaborate across organizations to ensure regular exchange of information to support consistent messaging, share communications practices and support enterprise events

  • Supporting the strategy and alignment of communications planning and execution of change management initiatives and measurement objectives

  • Identifying and preparing opinion leaders and internal spokespeople to provide perspective to employees and to the public

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institution

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher

  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

  • Relevant prior internship experience, coursework, or school projects in communications or public relations related activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Overall GPA of 3.7

  • Degreein Communications, Business Communications, Public Relations,Human Resources, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite

  • Experience in social and media relations and event support
