Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Mission Specialist - Fighter Pilot/WSO - 4th/5th Gen Fighter SME. The location of this position is at Langley AFB, VA. The qualified candidate will facilitate the daily execution of Large Force Employment (LFE) and Small Team events for the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), Distributed Training Center (DTC). Responsibilities include a thorough knowledge of F-22A, F-35A/B/C, F-15C, F-15E, F-16CM, or F/A-18C/D/E/F employment and training requirements. The Principal Mission Specialist will facilitate the DTC's support of daily Combat Air Forces (CAF) DMO training through scheduling, scenario development, mission materials, brief, execution and debrief support for Large Force Employment (LFE) and Small Team events. The candidate may attend CAF exercise planning conferences, meetings and site visits to gain a better understanding unit training requirements.
To accomplish these unit training requirements he/she will develop executable Computer Generated Forces (CGF) scenarios, mission materials and briefs for the diverse aircrew training audience. The Principal Mission Specialist is the fighter focal point for the execution of the DMO missions while acting as the white force. He/she will assist the DTC Mission Director in regulating the flow of timely injects throughout the training event. Additional duties may include:
Candidate may provide consulting expertise to military and/or defense clients to develop and evaluate military training and doctrine. Candidate may provide specialized planning and/or execution expertise in specialized phases of military training exercises--including doctrinal development, scenario development, after action review and data analysis.
Bachelor's degree and 9 years' of experience in fighter aircraft
Experienced Fighter Pilot/WSO
Thorough knowledge of AFTTP 3-1 fighter employment
Operationally relevant experienced within the past 8 years (simulator experience considered)
Secret Clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and SAP/SAR
Mission Commander and/or Instructor Pilot/WSO
Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI
Experience with Combat Air Forces DMO exercises and simulations
