Northrop Grumman Supply Chain Procurement Specialist 2 in Lake Charles, Louisiana

Northrop Grumman Technology Servicesis seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist 2 to assist with aircraft technical purchasing. This individual will support the U.S. Air Force JSTARS aircraft maintenance program. The position is located in Lake Charles, LA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying services and to establish price objectives.

  • Compile information regarding price trends.

  • Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.

  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quote (RFQ), review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, develop cost estimates, follow up on orders placed, and maintain necessary records.

  • Assist in the preparation of bid packages for Customer proposals.

Additional duties may include:

  • Sourcing and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.

  • Reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyzing trends, following up on placed orders, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 1 year of experience or additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

  • Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP Procurement module
