Northrop Grumman Technology Services Sector is seeking an Manager Material Distribution 1 to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Lake Charles, La. Job Description

Responsible for a team of employees in the Lake Charles Warehouse who use a variety of equipment such as forklifts, hand carts, and power trucks to ship, receive or move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within the plant, office, or warehouse. Responsible for all areas including Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, First Cut, Company & GOM inventories. Responsibilities will also include staff assignments, work schedules, operating costs and meeting organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related with a minimum of 6 years of material or logistics experience. In lieu of formal degree, High School diploma/GED with at least 10 years related experience.

  • Must be able to obtain a secret DoD Security clearance with ability to maintain.

  • Experience using FEDMALL, MILSTRIP, IUID, NGSAMS, and SAP.

  • Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints

  • Able to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goal

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

  • Able to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in performing in a fast-paced depot environment

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Warehouse environment

  • Familiar with CFO Reporting requirements

  • Demonstrated success in continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
