Northrop Grumman Principal Database Administrator in Lackland AFB, Texas

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, TX building the next generation of the Air Force Intelligence and Cyber capabilities and providing intelligence support to warfighters around the world.

Task Include:

  • Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases.

  • Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general.

  • Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

  • Maintains security and integrity controls.

  • Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.

  • Develop stored procedures and/or triggers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM Field (Science, Technical, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of6 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security or another Engineering field of experience; Master's Degree in a similar field plus4 years of experience; or a PhD in a related field plus2 years of experience

  • DoD 8570Certification.

  • A minimum of Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

  • Proven knowledge of computer security principles and DoD security protocols.

  • SQL programming experience required

  • Relational database experience required

  • Sybase experience preferred

  • Understanding of database replicationLinux experience

  • Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Moderinized Integrated Database (MIDB) experience

  • Experience with Clobal Command and Control Systems (GCCS)
