Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for our Iuka, MS facility. This individual will manage a technical staff responsible for supporting machining processes, tooling, final assembly, and structural testing for components.
Responsibilities include the following:
Provide technical leadership of the engineering staff and engineering oversight of multiple projects
Prepare cost estimates and proposal inputs
Develop and implement employee career development and training plans
Identify and develop necessary engineering tools and capabilities
Maintain proper levels of staffing through forecasting and recruiting
Support strategic planning and champion continuous process improvements.

Travel is occasional, consisting of visits to customer and subcontractor offices for program updates and technical reviews. Travel may increase in frequency around major program milestones.
Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline and 14+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in composite fabrication and/or machining
Active DoD Secret clearance
Experience in reviewing and approving mechanical drawings and standards
Experience as a team lead or project manager/lead
Experience with the development of machining processes
Knowledgeable in Design For Manufacture practices
Industry standard design tools including CATIA, NX, Teamcenter Engineering, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance applications (GD&T)
Working knowledge of multi-axis machining center operation using conventional machining methods of metallic and composite components.
Experience in facilities and capital planning, resource and capacity planning and control account management practices
