Northrop Grumman NATO AGS Aircraft Mechanic 3/4 in International, United States

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking self-motivated, hard-working full-time Aircraft Mechanic 3 for the NATO AGS Program in NAS Sigonella, Italy (Sicily). The selected candidates will perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various vehicle systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and applicable regulations. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Maintains applicable required records, manuals and inspection forms. Recommends corrective actions and resolves problems using technical publications and analytic techniques. Removes repairs and replaces malfunctioning components. Prepares aircraft surfaces and applies sealants, adhesives and associated chemicals. Stores, handles, uses and disposes of hazardous material and waste. Initiates deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data change and equipment records. Records information on maintenance data collection forms and automated systems. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Provide over the shoulder training to NATO AGS customer when required.

Basic Qualifications for level 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate technical discipline and four (4) years of specialized experience OR; High School diploma and eight (8) years of relevant experience.

  • A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • US or NATO SECRET Clearance Required.

-Able to commit to a 2 year overseas assignment

Basic Qualifications for level 4:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate technical discipline and seven (7) years of specialized experience OR; High School diploma and eleven (11) years of relevant experience.

  • A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • US or NATO SECRET Clearance Required.

-Able to commit to a 2 year overseas assignment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • (FAA) Airframe and Power plant (A&P) desired.

  • Certified UAV Technician / Aircraft Electronics Technician

  • Working knowledge of maintenance data bases (i.e., IMDS/CAMS)

  • Air Force avionics maintenance experience.

-Worked on previous Global Hawk maintenance program.

-Ability to work in a fast paced environment

-Willingness to work after hours and weekends as required
