Northrop Grumman Systems Engineer 3/ 4 in Huntsville, Alabama

Northrop Grumman Technology Services Sector is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position reports to the Analysis/Modeling & Simulation manager. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC) Analysis Team.

The candidate will:

  • Work independently and lead a multiple contractor team with responsibility for performing, guiding and directing the team in requirements analyses, system level performance analyses including definition of and evaluation of technical performance measures, analysis and synthesis of threats and scenarios, system limitations analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, effectiveness analysis, and trade studies.

  • Will devise modeling and measuring techniques, utilize mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques as well as models and simulations for system analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

Level 3:

  • 5 years engineering experience with Bachelors in engineering (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD

  • Expertise in systems engineering, systems analysis and requirements analysis.

  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation analysis.

  • Experience with BMDS (not specific to Ground-based Midcourse Defense)

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Level 4:

  • 9years engineering experience with Bachelorsin engineering (STEM);7 Years with Masters;4 Years with PhD

  • Expertise in systems engineering, systems analysis and requirements analysis.

  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation analysis.

  • Experience with BMDS (not specific to Ground-based Midcourse Defense)

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with interceptor missiles, battle management algorithms and radars.

  • Familiarity with Linux operating system and ability to program in one or more of MATLAB, C/C++, Java, and Python.

  • Ground-based Missile Defense experience.

  • Advanced degree.

  • DOD Top Secret security clearance.
