Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Tech supporting the Shipping and Receiving in Huntsville, AL. This position will be located in Huntsville and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What You'll Get To Do:

Support and assist with activities inside multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain processes.

Provide technical, tactical and execution and support in various aspects of the industry standard.

Supply chain business process areas primarily Supply Chain Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations.

Primarily responsible for the manual movement, shipping and receiving of materials.


Extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Supervision Given and Received:

Minimal supervision. Work may be done without established procedures. May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower level employees. Often designated as lead worker.

Typical Duties and Tasks:

Duties & tasks are varied and complex. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.

Consequence of Errors:

Errors are very difficult to detect and would normally require significant expenditures to resolve.


Contacts are frequent with individuals representing outside organizations, and/or individuals of significant importance within the company. Contacts involve planning and preparation of the communications, require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.



Y ou'll Bring These Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

Proficient in Systems Applications Processes (SAP)

Proficient in Ryder Program

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word

Valid United States Driver License in good standard

Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Ability to lift greater than 50 lbs. with help from another employee not to exceed 100 lbs.

Ability to operate a Forklift

Ability to operate a Reach

Ability to operate a cargo van

Required Certifications:

Department of Transportation (DOT): certification in hazardous materials handling and transportation

International Air Transport Association (IATA): certification in hazardous materials handling and transportation

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Proficient in RFGEN
