Job Description:
The candidate will perform job duties as a Windows Systems Administrator on a wide array of different technologies supporting multiple lab environments in support of classified program in Huntsville, Alabama. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Support day-to-day lab efforts ensuring that all technologies are operational.
Provide expert-level solutions for Windows Domain architecture
Conduct Windows Server administration and management tasks as required including patching, updates, hardening, and remediation of multiple Windows Domains
Work with Product Teams in support of secure operating systems, applications, networks, hardware, databases, etc.
Work on multiple simultaneous tasks.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior systems administrators.
Basic Qualifications (Level 3):
Current DoD Secret Security Clearance
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, etc.)
Associate degree and 7 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or master’s degree and 3 years of experience; an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience architecting and maintaining Windows Active Directory in a large mixed Operating Systems environment
Ability to maintain all Windows Domain components i.e., Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, etc. in accordance with DCSA RMF SP 800-53 Standards.
General understanding of networking to include subnets, routing, VLANs, etc.
Mid-level experience administrating Windows Domain environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
Broad knowledge of systems administrations to include multiple technologies i.e., (Windows, Linux, Cisco, VMware, NetApp)
Working knowledge of Linux systems in a Windows Domain environment
Experience building and administrating VMware vSphere 7.x or higher in a large environment
In-depth knowledge of VMware Horizon View and VDI
Ability to conduct backups and restorations from VEAAM
Previous administration of Atlassian Tools i.e., (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye, Crucible, etc.)
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
Scripting using Bash, PowerCLI, PowerShell
Strong familiarity with SAN storage systems i.e., NetApp
Additional Operating System Environment Certification i.e., (MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, RHCSA, Net+, CCNA, VMware Certified, etc.)
Salary Range: $93,000 - $139,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
