Northrop Grumman Principal Logistics Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Principal Logistics Engineer to work at the Airborne Systems Integration Center in our SEMA Program Management Office in Huntsville, Alabama .

The Logistics Engineer will work with a team supporting and modernizing the US Army SEMA fleet, coordinating the logistics support for systems upgrades and CLS. The position will require good technical judgment, the ability to tailor field logistics for deployed assets and the ability to work with cross functional team on fast paced projects. This position would also be responsible for implementing and maintaining the DMSMS and RCM programs for the SEMA contract. They would work collaboratively with the engineering, operations, logistics, and global supply chain teams to accomplish their tasks.


  • Function as the team lead for logistics considerations and sparing for modifications

  • Coordinate and maintain the programs DMSMS and RCM programs

  • Develop and implement field support and tooling requirements

  • Coordinates maintenance and reparability requirements with key subcontractors

  • Assists with the development of test plans, training and demonstration materials and plans

  • Assists with proposal development efforts

  • Coordinates with flight operations team to review fleet health metrics and mitigate major issues when possible

  • Assist the flight operations team with root cause analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in engineering, science, business operations, operational analysis or business administration

  • Ability to attain DoD Secret Clearance

  • MS Office and MS Sharepoint

  • Experience with statistical analysis in the field of logistics and/or reliability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Final DoD Secret or higher clearance

  • Former experience with the military or aviation industry

  • Certified Reliability Engineer

  • Experience running and maintaining a DMSMS and RCM program on aviation platforms

  • Six Sigma certification or experience

  • AutoCAD Experience
